WELCOME TO AUSTRALASIA.NET

These forums were created to provide the Australasian area of the world a place to discuss and post images relating to Nature Photography. It is our goal to provide a friendly atmosphere for all to enjoy, but for us to achieve this we have set out a few rules that must be followed.

REGISTRATION

Registration is required by all to be able to start, post and reply to topics. Registration is free and is required to stop unregistered visitors being able to access email addresses and other information.
The site is set up for the discussion of nature photography and related topics. All other topics are not to be discussed; this includes political and religious topics.

NO ADVERTISMENTS

There are to be no advertisements in the forums, you may have a link in your signature for your personal web site for self promotion.

LANGUAGE

The site is for the discussion of nature photography related subjects in a friendly manner. As such no obscene language will be tolerated. No verbal abuse towards another member will be tolerated. The Admin have the right to edit/delete any post that violates this rule. You will receive one warning, second time your registration will be revoked and you will be banned from the forum.

POSTING PHOTOGRAPHS

All photographs posted to his forum remain the sole property of the photographer. To post an image on the forums YOU must be the sole copyright owner of that image. Any image that is linked to or posted that you do not own the copyright to will be deleted and you will be removed from the forums. The Admin supports the copyright privileges of the owner of the images and will no tolerate breaches of photographers copyright.

All images must be of nature or wildlife, no images are to be posted of non related material or it will be deleted. Any image portraying nudity in any form will be deleted and your registration being revoked.

All images must be no bigger then 800pixel on the longest side and no larger than 200KB.

Only 1 image per post please, posting a rework of the same image is allowed but multiple images in a post will have the post deleted.

Posting limit of 2 images every 24hrs per gallery is permitted.

Please do not post your own images in someone else’s thread, your image will be deleted and you will receive a email from Admin about the matter. If you want to post a rework of your own image in your own thread this is allowed but only 1 rework is allowed and it needs to be linked to off site

DO NOT delete a post once replies have been made, email Admin if you want a post deleted for some reason.

COPYRIGHT

Again I will stress that the sites Admin feel very strongly about the rights of photographers. Some boards allow the downloading of a photographers image for reworks and reposting. WE DO NOT allow this without the written consent of the photographer.

Any image that is reworked or reposted without the consent of the copyright owner will be deleted and your registration will be revoked. Please observe copyright laws in respect to other photographers images

IMAGE OF THE MONTH

Image of the month is the image that we think is the nicest nature image of the month. As always though copyright is of utmost importance, therefore if your image is chosen to grace the front cover page we will email you for your permission to place the image there for the month.
